         Born out of the belief that the Railroad House Inn must rise from the ashes like a phoenix, or more appropriately the floodwaters of the Susquehanna, Perry Street Cellar is the culmination of a lot of hard work and late nights to restore this historic building to grandeur.

         During the flood of 2011, the cellar at the Railroad House Inn was inundated with water 7 ft deep. After a few days of pumping out the water, the walls were once again visible. The entire property needed weeks to dry out and did, but shortly thereafter the building was shuttered.

        In the fall of 2014, we decided to finally pull the trigger on renovations. We set out to create a casual, yet upscale atmosphere upstairs with a seasonally driven, locally sourced menu. Perry Street Cellar will juxtapose upstairs with a casual, speakeasy vibe downstairs. Stone walls and an original copper bar helped to lend an air of lived in comfort. The state of the art draft system, featuring 12 rotating craft beers will keep it in the present. We will also be featuring a menu driven by innovative uses of ingredients in a more casual menu consisting of  paninis, salads, soups, and signature items.
